Just a Quickie

Hello there...

Just a quick post to say I haven't disappeared under my stash of fabric that is taking over my sewing room floor. I want to be in bed by midnight tonight and time is running out!

I have been very busy this week preparing for Mathilda's Market that is happening this Sunday at Brisbane City Hall. 9-1pm

I have some new items that I have been working on, new button earring accessories and Kitchy Kitchy Koo dresses made from vintage tablecloths, pillowcases and sheets.

Hope you can make it to Mathilda's, I bet you won't be disappointed with the talent that is on show for your Xmas shopping pleasure

Tea for Two

It's was my dear friend Miss Annie's Birthday yesterday, and being the busy bee I am preparing for Mathilda's, I had to run about town and get supplies yesterday.

So we set the date for today instead.
On the menu today
-Green Tea

-Black tea-
-Croissants with Philly Cheese, Semi Dried Tomato's and baby Spinach

-Mushroom and Pumpkin Tarts-
-Heart shaped Shortbread with Lemon butter-

-White chocolate covered Marshmallow Balls tossed with Coconut-

YUMMY

I could do this everyday,easy!
Sweet Pea's and Star Jasmine flavoured the air with their pretty fragrance

The Perfect Prezzie

It's my Little Niece Koa Pearl's Birthday on Sunday and she is turning two.

So the pressure is on for a great gift, well not really, she's 2

I bet she will just love the wrapping anyway

But I love going out of my way to buy special people in my life something that they will treasure.

So with that in mind there was once place to visit, House & Doll, at Bulimba.

A MyGirl favorite

I get a little lost in there when I visit with all the cool things to look at.

So with the end of school drawing near I had to make a decision, quick!

I just adore these little polka dot suitcases, it was a toss up between the red & pink.

But I went with the pink, which set off the theme to fill it with fun pink things.

Being that she is third in line after my sister inlaw had 2 boys first, she has to compete with alot of Spiderman and Batman and Pirates. So bring on the pink I say

When I got home I started to work on filling it, cute strawberry clip from Denim Days

Sweet pink rose clips by House & Doll

And almost forgot my Thea & Sami stash that I purchased way back on the last Market day of The Designer Emporium Market now Boutique Market at Portside.

Wonder what pink I will find tomorrow to put in it?

Other things that caught my eye

All available at House & Doll

An OP'ers Best Friend

Not one to plug big companies,
but had to mention this little beauty
I often come across beautiful linens from OP shops and more ofen than not they have stains on them, you now the ones you think will never come out. As I have tried with sister products of Nappy San that are a few dollars cheaper. And haven't worked

So taking a chance on a few things I picked up yesterday and today, I was so surprised how clean they came up

And just had to mention this great Friday find, I have been dreaming of something similar for a while... no more tangles, well think I might need dad to make a bigger one now, so I can have every colour of the Rainbow

Flamingo Dance

No not the Flamenco, but these gorgeous birdies.

I scored this awesome fabric today on a quick stop off on my way home from work.

I went in to gather doilies for the mad rush to re-stock for Mathilda's Market on the 1st Nov.

I'm thinking that I might do some funky lil' dresses from this and call them Flamingo Dance.

Don't know what it is about Flamingo's that I love, think it the kitchyness

A new Home for Mumma Bushka

And doesn't she fit right in ....

Beautiful Charlie girl purchased one of my dolly's last week.
She was lovingly made from vintage chic rose fabric, not sure if it was Mummy or Charlie that feel in love with her first.

I am so happy she has made herself welcome on Charlies gorgeous little bed amongst all the other roses.

Look what My Girl did

We are finally back from the coldest place in Australia at the moment(in my opinion anyway) Toowoomba.

The Family and I packed up on Wednesday and headed up The Range to watch my big girl participate in the State Softball Championships.

Not only did she do an AWESOME job over the 4days(3 games per day) she was selected for The Queensland Invitational Team, as Queensland will be hosting the National Titles this year, so we are lucky to have 2 Queensland teams,YAY!

So proud of my GIRL
